Algerian PM: 48 killed in gas plant attack AlJazeera

Prime minister, speaking at press conference, says the 32 gunmen who attacked gas facility last week came from Mali.

A total of 37 foreign hostages from eight different countries, along with 11 Algerian workers, were killed in last week’s attack on a gas facility in southern Algeria, the Algerian prime minister, Abdelmalik Sellal, said at a press conference on Monday.

アルジェリアのセラル首相は、8カ国からの外国人37人と11人のアルジェリア人労働者が殺害されたと発表した。

Seven of the victims still have not been identified, and five other foreign workers are missing, he said, adding that a total of 25 hostages were found alive, and are still being identified.
犠牲者のうち7人は依然、身元不明。外国人労働者5人が行方不明。
加えて、人質25人の生存を確認したが、その身元を確認中と発表。

He also said the 32 gunmen who carried out the attack came from neighbouring Mali, where French and African troops are fighting several Islamist groups in the north. Sellal said the attackers included both Algerians and foreigners from several countries: Tunisia, Egypt, Mali, Niger, Canada and Mauritania.
