古事記は兵法書 The Kojiki is a book on the art of war

皆さんこんにちは。

English is after Japanese.
今日は日本神話の話。
古事記から、三つ話を話したいと思います。
三つのエピソードとも困難を乗り越えた日本神話の神々。
面白い話がないないかと思います。

スサノオのミコトのヤマタノオロチ退治

スサノオのミコトという神様がいますね。
荒ぶる神さま強い神様というイメージが結構あるんじゃないかなと思います。

スサノオのミコトは当時、お姉さんのアマテラスオオミカミそれから、月読命（ツクヨミノミコト）という神様が、兄弟でいました。

スサノオのミコトはお姉さんのアマテラスオオミカミから、
国を追い出されてしまって、今で言う出雲国に来ました。

出雲の国についたら、1人の娘を囲んで泣いているおじいさんおばあさんの夫婦に出会います。
この娘が櫛稲田姫（クシナダヒメ）
老夫婦が泣いてる理由っていうのが、娘たちがヤマタノオロチに食べられてしまい、最後の一人の姫がクシナダ姫だったわけです。
その最後の一人の娘もヤマタノオロチに食べられてしまうと、悲しんで泣いていたのですね。

ヤマタノオロチというもうものすごい大きかったそうです。
一つの大きな胴体に八つの頭があって、八つのしっぽもあって、目は真っ赤で体には苔やヒノキ好きが生えている。

ヤマタノオロチが、この老夫婦の娘たちを1人1人、食べてってしまってるっていうことなんですね。
これを聞いたスサノアノミコトは、しばらく考えと、自分がこれを解決してあげようと言いました。

そして準備をすることを夫婦に伝えます。

一つは、クシイナダ姫の姿を紙にさす櫛に変えてしまって、スサノオのミコトは自分の頭に挿しました。
クシイナダ姫を隠したわけです。

スサノオのミコトの作戦はこうです。
ヤマタノオロチが来る。
囲いを八つ作ること。そしてさらに八つの棚を置いて、そして八つのお酒置く事。

しかもこのお酒は、8回も醸造した非常に強いものを作ってほしいということ。

これを老夫婦に依頼したわけなんです。
いざヤマタノオロチが来ると、そのお酒をガブガブ飲んでたんですよね。

そうすると酔っ払って眠ってしまったのを見て、スサノオのミコトは、ヤマタノオロチをもう頭から尻尾から全部切り刻んでいった。
打ち倒したわけなんですけど、一番最後に体を切っていったら、何か当たったんですね。

これが、天皇家に伝わる三種の神器の一つで、草薙の剣と言われます。

このような策略を練って、スサノオのミコトはクシナダ姫を守って、そしてヤマタノオロチを退治してった。
これ見事な策略ですよね。

面白いのは、8という数字が、古事記には何回も実は出てくるんですけども、大きいとか、そういった意味があるそうなんですね。

天の岩戸開き　オモイカネのミコト

この次、天の岩戸開きというエピソードもあります。
オモイカネのミコトの神様っていう知恵の神様が行ったというふうに言われてます。

太陽の神様であったアマテラスのオオミカミが、弟のスサノオのミコトががあまりにも乱暴者で、岩の中に隠れてしまったと。

太陽がこの世からなくなったわけですから、非常に世の中真っ暗になってですね、大変だと。

いうことで、岩戸からどうやってアマテラスを出そうかという話です。

オモイカネノミコトの神様は、無理やり岩をこじ開けて、アマテラスのオオミカミに出すのではなく、

アマテラスの方から表に出たいと思うように仕組んだのです。

そのときに利用されたのが祭りなんですね。
今のお祭りの原型と言われてます。

アマテラスのオオミカミは自分は太陽の神様で、この世を照らしてる尊い神様だ。

アマテラスのオオミカミがいなく、世の中は暗くみな大変なはずなのに、
世の中の神様たちは、もうお祭り騒ぎでもう酒は飲む、踊るはそれは、非常に盛り上がっていたわけなんですね。

この様子を見て、アマテラスのオオミカミは外は一体どういうことになってるんだ？

と思い、自分から少しずつのぞき見をするようになって見たわけです。

少し開けたときに、タジカラオという力の強い神様がいて、岩ごと飛ばしてしまって、アマテラスが表に出てきた。
というふうに言われてます。

つまり、無理やり開けるのではなくて、アマテラスオオミカミが自分から出てもらうように仕組んだ。
ということなんですね。
しかもそれにはお祭りというですね、楽しさ、ということを仕組んで、成功したわけなんですね。

相手に興味を持たせて相手から出てこさせる。
そこに祭りを組み入れる。

仕事にも応用できそうな出来事ですね。

ヤマトタケルの戦い。

最後にヤマトタケルの話をしたいと思います。
ヤマトタケル名前を聞いたことある方いると思いますけども、小さい頃はオウスという名前でした。
非常に美男子というような形で伝わっているんですけども、非常に戦いに強い神様としても有名なんです。

ヤマトタケルっていうのは、第12代景行天皇の子供なんですけども、面当時中央にいた分けたんですけどね、九州の勢力が。今日は中央に従わない。
熊襲健（クマソタケル）がいた。

これを打ち取るためにどうしたというと、ヤマトタケルは、なんと女装していったんですよね。

戦いの後に、宴が催されて、そのときに、女装をして、熊本健に近ずいていった。

女装してくクマソタケルの元に近づいていって、それからいざ近くになったら、刀で刺して討ち取ったわけです。

この相手ですね、敵のクマソタケルから、お前はこの健（タケル）非常に強いっていう名前を名乗った方がいいということを言われて、
自らヤマトタケルというように名前をつけたといわれています。

同じように、出雲健（イズモタケル）も討ち取ります。
ここも非常に大きい勢力のところだったんですけども、ここにもやはりヤマトタケルは遠征で行くわけですね。
中央に従わない。
このときには最初に、イズモタケルとヤマトタケルは親交を結ぶんですよね。

いきなり戦うということをしないで、親交を結んだ。そして頃合を見計らい、
ヤマトタケルは、本物の刀を当然イズモタケルは持ってるわけなんですけども、ヤマトタケルは木刀をもっていて、
これを交換しようという話を持ちかけたんですよね。

親交のの証だということで、で、木刀と本物の刀で、交換してと思ったら、

すぐにここでヤマトタケルはイズモタケルに戦いに挑んで勝ちます。

そして、ヤマトタケルが、イズモタケルも打ち取って、クマソタケルも、打ち取って西日本の方の大きな勢力を制圧していったわけなんですね。
戻って天皇（自分の父親）に話すと東北の方にも、従わない勢力があると言われそれも制圧してほしいと言われます。

ヤマトタケルは今の宮城県の方まで遠征に行ったという記録が残っています。
関東の方にもですね、いっぱいヤマトタケルが来たという足跡が残っています。
もう本当にたくさんあるんですね。

九州から東北まで遠征していったヤマトタケル。

千葉県は直接船で渡ってきたとか、神奈川それから静岡でも記録は残っています。

焼津という地名がありますよね。

焼津っていうのも、元々はヤマトタケルをですね、恐れた地元の神様たちがこれ打ち取ろうということで、
野原に火を放って、倒そうとしたわけです。

しかし残念ながら、ヤマトタケルはそれをもう、持ってる刀で綺麗にしてしまって、
その作戦には引っかからなかったんです。

古事記は兵法のの本ということで見ても、超一流というような声もあるほどなんです。

兵法の本というのは、その他にもあるんですけども、この三つの戦いっていうのは、日本の神話の中でも有名です。
そして、もしかしたら、仕事をする上でも役に立つ話ではないかなというふうに思って紹介させていただきました。

Yamata-no-orochi is coming.
Build eight enclosures. Then he put up eight shelves, and eight cups of sake.

This is what I asked the old couple to do.
When the Yamata-no-orochi came, they drank the sake and guzzled it.

When the Yamata-no-orochi arrived, the couple drank a lot of sake, and when they saw him drunk and asleep, Susanoo no Mikoto cut up the Yamata-no-orochi from head to tail.
When he cut off the last part of the body, something hit him.

This is called the Kusanagi Sword, one of the three sacred weapons handed down to the emperor.

It is interesting to note that the number 8, which appears many times in the Kojiki, has a meaning of “big.

The opening of Amano-Iwato, the myth of Omoikane

Next, there is the episode of the opening of Amano no Iwato.
It is said that the god of wisdom, Omoikane no Mikoto, went there.

Amaterasu no Omikami, who was the god of the sun, hid in a rock because her brother, Susanoo no Mikoto, was too violent.

Since the sun had disappeared from the world, the world became very dark, and it was a serious problem.

This is the story of how to get Amaterasu out of Iwato.

The god Omoikane no Mikoto did not force open the rock and let Amaterasu’s Omikami out.

Instead of forcing her to pry open the rock and let Amaterasu’s Omikami out, the god Omoikane no Mikoto arranged it so that Amaterasu would want to come out to the surface.

That’s when the festival was used.
It is said to be the prototype of today’s festivals.

Amaterasu no Omikami said that she was the god of the sun, a precious god who illuminated the world.

Without Amaterasu no Omikami, the world was dark and everyone was in trouble.
However, the gods of the world were already in a festive mood, drinking and dancing and having a great time.

Amaterasu no Omikami, seeing this, wondered what was going on outside.

So he began to peek out a little more and took a look.

When she opened her eyes a little, she saw a powerful god named Tajikarao, who sent the entire rock flying, and Amaterasu came out.
That’s how it is said.

In other words, it was not a case of forcing open the door, but of Amaterasu Omikami arranging for her to come out herself.
That’s what it means.
In addition, she succeeded in doing so by setting up a festival that was fun.

The idea was to make the other person interested and to get them to come out.
This is where the festival comes in.

It’s an event that could be applied to work as well.

The battle of Yamato Takeru.
Finally, I’d like to talk about Yamato Takeru.
I’m sure there are people who have heard the name Yamatotakeru, but when I was little, his name was Ous.
He was a very beautiful man, but he was also famous as a god who was very strong in battle.

Yamato Takeru was a child of the 12th Emperor Keiko, and at the time he was in the center of the empire, the power of Kyushu was divided. Today, they do not follow the center.
There was Kumaso Takeru.

To defeat him, Yamatotakeru dressed up as a woman.

After the battle, a banquet was held, and at that time, he dressed up as a woman and approached Kumamoto Ken.

This opponent, Kumaso-Takeru, who was his enemy, told him that he should take the name of Takeru, which means “very strong.
It is said that he named himself Yamato Takeru.

In the same way, Izumotakeru was also defeated.

At this time, Izumotakeru and Yamatotakeru first formed a friendship, didn’t they?

They did not fight each other out of the blue, but formed a friendship. Then, when the time was right.
Yamatotakeru, of course, had a real sword, but Yamatotakeru had a wooden sword.
But Yamatotakeru had a wooden sword, and he offered to exchange it.

Soon after, Yamatotakeru challenged Izumotakeru to a battle and won.

There are so many of them already, aren’t there?

Yamatotakeru went on an expedition from Kyushu to Tohoku.

There are also records of Yamato Takeru crossing directly by ship in Chiba Prefecture, Kanagawa Prefecture, and Shizuoka Prefecture.

Originally, the local gods were afraid of Yamatotakeru, so they decided to destroy him.
They set fire to the field and tried to defeat him.

But unfortunately, Yamatotakeru had already cleaned it up with his sword.
